- All pictures on this website were taken of patients in our office. Dr. Markus has a portrait studio in
the office.
2
- How many cosmetic dentists are so proud of the life-changing smile
enhancements they’ve done that they have the walls of their office
filled with autographed pictures of their patients?

4
- What separates a gold and silver medal can be a fraction of a second, or
a fraction of an inch.
5
- What separates average cosmetic dentistry from extreme makeovers is
often that last little millimeter of tooth, the edge.
6
- There are two edges to every crown and veneer; where it meets the gum,
7
- and where it meets the eye.
8
- If you are feeling like you need to cover your mouth when you laugh; if
you feel like your smile is making you look older than you really are;
if when you look at pictures in magazines you have smile envy; if
younger people in the organization are passing you by, you need to
regain your Edge.
9
- The pictures here show average veneers and The Edge Veneers and The Edge
Crowns. Which looks more natural
to you? One of the biggest
obstacles we hear from patients contemplating cosmetic dentistry is, “I
don’t want my smile to look artificial.”
10
- We are trying to duplicate nature, even when someone wants very white
teeth, we still strive for that natural looking incisal edge. It’s The Edge that separates
exceptional from average.
11
- Give yourself The Edge. Every one
of our smile enhancements is treated like a commissioned work of art,
and you have input into the design and appearance at five different
stages of development:
12
- 1. At the stage where we begin talking about what you want.
13
- 2. When we receive the wax simulation of what your smile will look like
14
- 3. Immediately after we’ve performed the temporaries you will have input
as to the shape, color and edge design.
15
- 4. During the three weeks you’re
wearing your temporaries we will have the opportunity to make changes
and convey them to the lab.
16
- 5. Finally, before we bond your permanent Edge veneers and crowns into
your mouth, you will have final approval.
17
- So don’t think that any dentist can perform natural-looking smile
enhancements. Every dentist can
call him or herself a cosmetic dentist.
But if you truly want The Edge, you need to see us because:
18
- We’ve been performing smile makeovers since 1979
- We don’t experience breakage because we understand the relationship
between form and function
19
- We have all dental specialties under one roof
- We can sedate anyone who needs that additional Edge for treatment
20
- We are familiar with all the latest techniques and materials because Dr.
Markus is a nationally known cosmetic dental author, teacher and
speaker.
- We provide a written guarantee on all cosmetic treatment.
21
- You wouldn’t go to your family physician for a face lift….when it comes
to something as serious as your smile….where the canvas to be painted is
one of the most sensitive parts of the body…you want it done correctly,
the first time. Give
yourself THE EDGE
22
- It’s one thing to take a weekend course, it’s another to be a nationally
recognized authority.

- Treatment that you perceive as complex might be simpler than you
think. Most cases can be

- The impossible might take a few months!

- Tim – more notes for you here.
- What I also envision on the site are buttons for Testimonials, a
Description of the Blueprinting process, and stuff about the difference
between the Edge and Lumineers etc.
Also Details of what makes the Edge, the Edge.
- I also want a page that will allow to referrals outside Philly. Follow the headings on the top of the
pages upcoming to see what part of the site this belongs on.
27
- As practitioners and labs throughout the country become certified this
section of the site will be more complete. If you are interested and are from
outside the Philadelphia area, please email drmarkus@cent4dent.com
28
- From page http://cent4dent.com/html/thanks.html
- Take the testimonials of the top 2, and zulma ray and kelly to create a
testimonial section

- There are many different trademarks for veneers. Everyone has heard of
Lumineers, and some have heard of DaVinci veneers. What makes The Edge different is the
individuality given to every tooth.
In nature teeth don’t look like this
30
31
- Now let’s look at the after.
32
- And the close up shows that each tooth flows directly out of the gum
tissue, and the edges are natural looking.
33
- Some pictures of natural incisal edges – this is nature at its best
34
- The Edge Veneers come very close to copying nature
35
- Looking at each veneer close up notice the symmetry and the
characterization of the edges.
36
- Now looking at the two lateral incisors, there is more variation in
shape as one moves away from the midline, but the overall effect of
natural looking edges has been preserved.
37
- Comparing this with mass produced veneers, that are more or less
“stamped out” shows the difference you will realize with every Edge
veneer.
38
- Will my teeth need to be reduced?
- Answer – there are many cases that set up well for limited reduction, or
no reduction, but every case is different. Our goal is to maintain as much
natural enamel as possible with the understanding that form must follow
function. When the only tool you
have is a weekend course on cosmetic dentistry, you tend to do
everything the same way. Not so,
in our office.
- Edge veneers and crowns can be done without preparation, or with minimal
preparation in many instances, but every patient’s case is different.
39
- I’ve heard veneers break sometimes, what can be done to prevent that?
- Answer – First and most important, form must follow function, so we are
sure the bites of all patients we treat are well balanced.
- It is important to educate the patient about not using the front teeth
to bite into hard objects, like finger nails, or crusty rolls or
pistachio nuts.
- If the patient grinds their teeth at night, they need to be fitted with
a night guard. We prefer the NTI
appliance.
40
- How much time will it take for my smile design to be completed?
- Answer – most cases can be completed in about 5 weeks from start to
finish. We need 2 weeks to
blueprint the case, and then we will be ready to make your
temporaries. These provide us
with a template for your success, and is a step left out by many weekend
trained cosmetic dentists. Once
the lab has your final impressions, it generally takes 3 weeks or less
for the finished porcelain artwork.
- Each visit will take about 2 – 3 hours (assuming a typical 8 tooth
case).
41
- How much will it cost?
- Answer – You can figure an 8 tooth case will be about $12,000 and yes,
we can help you finance the treatment.
42
43
44
- Tim – put the .pdf file from the images folder up for this page
45
- The blueprinting process is our way of insuring that everything looks
and functions properly, from the design, to the installation of the
temporaries to the finished Edge veneers and crowns.
46
- Plaster models are made from impressions of the mouth and set on a bite
simulator called a Denar Articulator.
47
- The models are carefully analyzed by the doctor and the lab technician.
48
- The diagnostic wax-up, or blue print is performed. It is then meticulously transferred to
the mouth for assessment and later, to the lab, for final processing
enabling us to provide an esthetic try-in, and a much more natural
looking result, using The Edge veneers and crowns.
